1. What is Hypnotherapy effective in treating?

2. What does a hypnotherapy session consist of?
The first session typically lasts one and one-half hours. To start with, you will be asked to sign a Disclosure form and write a paragraph of several lines as to what you want to accomplish with hypnotherapy. After a general discussion about what hypnosis is and how it works, you will develop your Client Plan. Your suggestibility is then tested and on to the induction of the hypnotic trance. When you are brought out of the trance, you may ask any questions you have and discuss your experience.
3. What will I experience in a hypnotic trance?
You will feel very relaxed and experience a heightened sense of awareness. There may be a sense of floating, tingling, heaviness or merely a sense of well-being. Each person is different and whatever you feel, it will be what is natural for you. You will NOT fall asleep, you will NOT lose control, you will NOT do anything against your will or lose control.
4. How many sessions will I need?
Depending on what you want to accomplish, the average number of sessions is between four and eight. After the initial session, each consecutive session lasts approximately one hour.
